La beauté de Nouvelle Calédonie en aquarelles et acryliques
présentation
Åsa Maria est née en Suède, après vingt ans de voyage en mer, elle jette l'ancre en Nouvelle Calédonie en 1989. Depuis elle vit toujours sur son voilier avec son mari.
Totalement autodidacte, elle acheta une boite d'aquarelles, des pinceaux, du papier spécial et quelques livres afin de se lancer dans sa deuxième passion : la peinture. Etant tombée amoureuse du caillou, elle tente de restranscrire la beauté des paysages à travers ses oeuvres : la mer, les poissons, les bateaux, le littoral, les fleurs, les îlots, le lagon, les oiseaux...
Ayant un faible pour la peinture aquarelle dont elle affectionne le rendu naturel et brillant, elle réalise également des tableaux en acryliques et huiles qu'elle décline ensuite en cartes postales, estampes sur papier aquarelle ou marque-pages.
Son but est de permettre à chacun d'avoir un petit bout de la beauté de la Nouvelle Calédonie chez soi.

Åsa Maria a adhéré à la marque ARDICI.
Åsa Maria Chipman was born in Sweden. After 20 years of sailing on the oceans she drops the anchor in New Caledonia, 1989. She still lives with her husband on their sail boat.
Completely self-thought, she buys a box of water colors, a few brushes, some special paper and several books to be able to teach herself the painting that will become her second passion. She fell in love with New Caledonia and she tries to transfer the beauty of the landscape into her paintings; the ocean, the fish, the boats, the seashore, the flowers, the birds and the lagoon with its islands...
She has a weakness for the natural and brilliant rendering of aquarelles. She also creates paintings in acrylic and oil and then downsizes them into postcards, bookmarks, posters and reproductions on watercolor paper.
Her goal is to allow everyone to have a little piece of the beauty of New Caledonia in their homes.
